My Favorite Drug
I found a drug that makes me feel awesome. I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Studies show that it can:
Decrease anxiety and depression
Lower blood pressure
Increases oxycontin production
Reduces stress levels
Provides better cognitive and brain function
Can increase life span
I take it when I can and it always works. The best part is that it is free. It's not on any insurance formulary list and some companies actually reimburse you for it.
The brand name (and generic version) is called... Volunteering.
No joke. Scientific studies support these claims.

Some time ago, I stumbled on an article that talked about a study that showed that the number one thing that causes log-term, sustained happiness is volunteering. That is, while some things can cause short-term happiness (like winning some money, or getting a puppy), this happiness can spike but then level out or even bottom out causing you to need another happiness fix. Volunteering, however, creates a long-term happiness that can be sustained even when you are not volunteering and even when life is not so great (like when you spend all of your winnings on leather pants that were in style for a week, or when that puppy keeps pooping on your bath rug). It can lead to an increase in overall life satisfaction and create happier people.
So now I am both a user and a dealer. It's been 3 years since I founded Agape Cake Club. We are a group of volunteer bakers who bake custom birthday cakes for children in need in our community. "Agape" is one of the Greek words for "love". It describes an altruistic, charitable love. But the Agape Cake Club, for me, isn't entirely altruistic, because for me... it is a free drug. It gives me all of the good effect I listed above and the only side effect is a messy kitchen. And, I am encouraging others to try this amazing drug, too.
Connect with the volunteer bureau in your community to find volunteer opportunities that will give you a lasting high.
